Lauren Shiels

Hi, I’m Lauren Shiels – a lifelong football enthusiast turned journalist. 

I’ve been a passionate football fan since I was a kid, supporting both Posh and Liverpool through thick and thin.

Between 2022 and 2025, I’ve gained hands-on experience with Peterborough United Women—writing match previews and reports, conducting interviews, and providing live social media commentary.

Now, I’m proud to be part of the team at Peterborough Sports, managing their social media channels and website, creating engaging content, and covering matches up close.

Alongside this, I’m also the editor-in-chief of Inside The Box, a publication based at University Centre Peterborough, where I focus mostly on football but enjoy covering other sports, business and lifestyle topics too. 

Football has always been my passion. It’s all about the game, and I’m here to bring you closer to it - one article at a time.
